Beer tasting in Amsterdam
Amsterdam, july 2nd, 2026 – I was invited to do a beer tasting in Amsterdam, for a international company. So that meant I had to tell my stories about beer in English. Well, no problem of course. I quite like challenges like this.
A large group had signed up for this company event: 40 people showed up. One of them decided a while back to stop drinking alcohol. For him I brought a selection of 6 tasteful alcohol-free beers.
For a group this large, I usually bring some help. This time that was not necessary: the very kind people of the company helped me serve the beers. Before we knew it, all the beers had been served.
The beer selection was very diverse: there were no 2 beers alike. So maybe not everybody liked all te beers. But that is ok, of course: a beer tasting is about discovering what you like AND dislike.
Before we knew it, the last beer had been served. As far as I can tell – judging by the smiling was – it was a big success.
